About
I’m Erfan Bashar, a medical student at the University of Milan’s International Medical School. I am originally from Iran and live in Milan.
My work and interests center on physiology, particularly respiratory mechanics and intensive care. Since 2023, I have worked as a student researcher in the Respiratory Physiology Laboratory at the University of Milan under Professor Matteo Pecchiari. In 2024, I co-authored a paper on assessing respiratory mechanics in large animals (Fluids 2024, 9, 142).
I write about medicine, identity, being Iranian, technology, and the things I find worth thinking about. Some things make sense only in Persian; others benefit from the distance of English.
